What is Ajuga Turkestanica Extract?
Ajuga ciliata Bunge, commonly known as Prunella vulgaris or Sanxuecao, is a perennial herb belonging to the Lamiaceae family of the Lamiales order. It is characterized by its tubular flowers and musculoskeletal properties. This plant has swollen roots and erect stems without runners. The shoots are quadrilateral in shape, with a slightly woody base and a purple-red or green-purple color. The young parts of the plant are covered with gray-white villi. There are approximately 40 species of Ajuga native to Eurasia. Ajuga ciliata Bunge is known for its medicinal properties, particularly its antitussive, expectorant, and asthma-relieving effects.
