Polygonum Cuspidatum Root Extract
There is evidence to support the notion that it possesses the ability to traverse the blood-brain barrier and potentially play a role in the control of brain inflammation, which is a key element in the progression of numerous neurodegenerative disorders.
A recent study from Georgetown University Medical Center has discovered that administering resveratrol to patients with Alzheimer's has remarkable benefits. Researchers found that it can improve the integrity of the blood-brain barrier and reduce the ability of harmful immune molecules to enter brain tissue. When human brain cells were exposed to resveratrol, they exhibited significantly slower inflammation and a slower decline in cognitive function compared to patients treated with a placebo. These findings suggest that resveratrol could be a promising treatment for Alzheimer's disease.

Among the various pharmacological effects of resveratrol, the most striking is the anti-tumor effect, and its anti-tumor effect is manifested as an inhibitory effect on the three stages of tumor initiation, promotion and development. It can produce different degrees of antagonism on human lung cancer, breast cancer, gastric cancer, liver cancer, leukemia and other tumor cells through various mechanisms. Andrea and other studies found that resveratrol can trigger or block the occurrence of cell death signals of tumor cells, thereby achieving the purpose of preventing cancer. Wieder et al compared the anticancer and anti-leukemia effects of resveratrol and piceatannol. The results showed that both can lead to apoptosis of BJAB Burkitt-like lymphoma cells, and the median effective dose (ED50) of resveratrol was 25 μmol/L
