Saw Palmetto Extract

Serenoa repens is a species of palm tree that is commonly known as saw palmetto. It is the only species in the genus Serenoa and has previously been called Sabal serrulatum in alternative medicine. The small palm tree can grow up to a maximum height of 7-10 ft and has a sprawling trunk. It can be found in sandy coastal lands as well as pine woods and hardwood hammocks. While it rarely produces erect stems or trunks, some populations have been observed with these features. The saw palmetto is endemic to the southeastern United States and can be found along the Atlantic and Gulf Coastal plains, as well as southern Arkansas.
